 What is your name and what is the title of your job?
My name is Pablo Bolivar and the title of my position is Store Manager.

 Why did you become a manager?
I wanted to be the boss in my job. I was tired of getting orders from other people and I knew that I wanted to supervise.

 How many hours do you work each week? Are you required to work on weekends?
I work about 48 hours per week. Yes I work weekends in the morning. I have Wednesdays off to rest because we do not have many customers.

 Please describe your daily duties and responsibilities?
First I open the restaurant. Then I count the money from the cashier box to see how much money was made before and how much we will use that day. I supervise the workers and when it gets busy I help as a cashier.

 What advice would you give to someone who wants to become a manager?
I would tell them to work hard and be responsible.

 Were you inspired or encouraged by anyone or anything to do this job?
My family inspired me to get a higher position because I wanted to earn more money to provide for them. I could not be a regular employee. I knew I wanted to be in a higher position to earn more money.

 What type of personal qualities does a person need to become a
manager?
They need to be reliable, dependable, hard-worker, responsible, and a leader.

 Please describe some of the challenging aspects of your work?
When it gets really busy I need to take orders and supervise simultaneously. I need to be the boss and a worker at the same time.

 Did you have to go to college or get special training to perform this job?
I went to college for two years. I started as a regular employee and then I moved up to be supervisor, and now they moved me to the manager position. I just needed to work hard to move up and show that I am better than the rest.

 Please tell me about the salary and financial benefits of your job?
If you work hard you can make a lot of money. They pay me $15 an hour and I receive a bonus at the end of the year with paid vacations.

 Does your job interfere with your family life? If so, in what ways?
Yes,it does interfere because I work nights and weekends, the time when my family has free time. I can not spend as much time with them as I would like to but I need to work.

 Is this going to be your life career or do you think that you will do something else?
I think that I will be here for a long time. I know that I don\'t want this for a life career but for now I will stay until something better comes along.

 With the skills that you possess to perform your job, what other jobs could you handle?
With the skills that I possess I know I can work in other restaurants. I know that I have enough skills to move to a higher position like the owner of my own business.

 Would you want your children to follow in your footsteps in this field of work?
No, I would not want my children to follow my footsteps. I would like for them to find a career where they can work less hours. I want them to receive an education and find a good career where they can be their own boss.

 How did you get this job?
I got this job in a newspaper.

 If there was one thing you could change about your job, what would it be?
I would work less on weekends.

 Is there much opportunity to \"move up\" in your business?
No.

 Will there be much demand for people who do this kind of work in the future?
Yes.

Yes,I interact with other people.
